Your personal data has been obtained through previous relationships you have had with the COMA , particularly when registering as a member.

What personal data do we process?

The data that we will process for the legitimate purposes explained below are the following: Name and surname. DNI or NIE. Identification photograph. Postal address. Email address. Telephone number. Date and place of birth. Sex. Bank details. Academic qualifications. Place where you carry out your professional activity. Beneficiaries of the Caja de Auxilio Colegial. Additional information that you have provided us for your personal file.

We also inform you that we will process any additional data that you voluntarily provide us during future relationships and interactions that you maintain with COMA , including those that you provide us through a social network or other application. This data depends on your own privacy settings, use of the social network or application, as well as the privacy policies of each social network or application, so we recommend that you read them carefully before providing us with data through said social networks or applications.

Why do we process your personal data?

To fulfill our purposes and functions as a Professional Association, defined in the Statutes approved by the General Directorate of Justice of the Ministry of Justice and Public Administrations, which are available to you on our website www.palaciodecongresosdealicante.com

For what reason can we process your personal data?

The processing of your personal data due to your relationship with the COMA as a member is legitimate as it is necessary to comply with the legal and statutory obligations arising from membership in the association, which is mandatory for the exercise of the profession under the Law on Professional Associations.

The processing of your personal data for the purpose of sending institutional information about COMA activities, campaigns or initiatives responds to a legitimate interest of the College and is authorized by current regulations.

When and for what reason can we provide your data to third parties?

Your data will not be transferred to third parties, with the following exceptions:

– When they are or may be beneficial to your professional interests, such as job offers, scientific conferences or events, collaborations with healthcare professionals or operators involved in the sector. This is because this is a function statutorily entrusted to the College.

– When requested by Public Administrations, and must be provided by virtue of the legal duty of collaboration.

– To the General Council of Medical Colleges and the Valencian Council of Medical Colleges, to fulfil their own purposes.

However, certain data are publicly accessible as provided by law, specifically: your name and surname, membership status and qualification to practice, professional address and qualifications.

How long will we keep your data?

Your personal data will be kept in any case as long as you remain a registered member, and even after the termination of said relationship, we will keep your personal information for the time necessary in accordance with the purposes for which it was obtained. The criteria used to determine the retention periods include our legal obligations, statistical needs and your own interests in relation to the rights acquired during the period of membership and the right of the College to certify certain aspects of your professional life.

What are your rights?

You have the right to obtain confirmation regarding the processing of your personal data, access them, request the rectification of those that are inaccurate, as well as, if applicable, the deletion of those that are no longer necessary in relation to the purpose for which they were obtained.

You also have the right to exercise data portability to a new controller, to limit processing and to revoke consent, with the exceptions contemplated in the previous section.

The COMA has forms for exercising your rights. They must be authenticated by electronic signature or accompanied by a photocopy of the ID, and can be submitted in person or sent by post or email.
